True Colours has been hair coloring the Boston area since 1995. Being specialized in hair coloring is what True Colours Haircolour Salon has been known for. True Colours welcomes all who need, enjoy and celebrate hair color including locals and luminaries such as Elisabeth Hasselbeck (of ABC’s the View) as well as acting icon Ms. Faye Dunaway. Owner Ronnie Sullivan is happy to be mentioned periodically by Allure Magazine’s “Top colorists from across the country” as well as locally earning the “Best of Boston, Best Colorist” from Boston Magazine. The True Colours methodology stems from passion. Ronnie and Richie are equally passionate when it come to great hair, and have been so since first opening in Boston’s South End. Since moving to our more accessible South Boston setting, color team Ronnie and Richie expanded the salons concept and continue to expand there repertoire by attending or speaking at educational forums all over the world. “We love to grow ourselves artistically which enables us to always keep a fresh approach with each individual client” Ronnie and Richie have an equally shared vision and agree that hair should have a plan. It’s important to know how to both maintain and evolve a person’s look through the calendar year.
Ronnie has dedicated his entire professional career to the specialized and exciting field of hair color. His efforts have been recognized twice by Boston Magazine’s prestigious “ Best Hair Colorist Award”, capping off one century in 1999 and brightening a new millennium with the award in the year 2000. Nationally known and respected Allure Magazine included Ronnie in their “Top Colorists Across the Country” section in 1997, 2002 and 2003. Town & Country mentioned Ronnie as a Who’s Who of Colorists across the United States in their issue “Oh To Be Blonde,” May 2000 and “Cooking Light’s” beauty section in the 2001 fall issue. Ronnie has been quoted in many other publications such as the Boston Globe Magazine and professional salon periodicals over the years discussing coloring techniques and formulations. During his career he has taught hair color technique for leading manufacturers both on stage at educational forums and in salon settings. Ronnie’s unique eye for color has been called upon to test hair color for major manufacturers’ evaluation laboratories and marketing facilities. Ronnie’s belief in ongoing education keeps him current in the latest products and applications.
For the past 12 years Richie has passionately coordinated and managed the salon. He has assisted Ronnie in making True Colours a reality moving and building three salons in True Colours 15 year history. His growth and education has continued and flourished. Richie has participated in many educational events over the years most recently he completed the Wella Dimensional and Color Freedom seminars on location at Wella’s advanced studio at 30 Rockefeller Plaza NYC. As well as multiple private and public programs with master salon pro’s Beth and Carmine Minardi. Richie worked with Ronnie on stage managing the True Colours segment of “Color America with Beth Minardi. He has participated in numerous “American Board of Certified Hair colorists” programs as well as salon management seminars/symposiums. Richie has excellent communication skills and enjoys exceeding your expectations visit to visit.
